Mount Rushmore National Memorial (50 minutes) a bucket list must see and experience, maybe do the evening lighting ceremony.
Custer State Park (25 minutes) is just a short distance away, one of the most user friendly wild life refuges in the world. Take a drive on the Wild Life Loop Road, lunch at the State Game Lodge (President Coolidge Summer White House), Take Iron Mountain Road to Mount Rushmore.

Big Game Hunting Elk, Mule Deer, White Tail Deer, Antelope and Mountain Lion hunting is available on the many walk-in areas of the Southern Black Hills. The Lazy A Ranch is adjacent to a 5,000 acre State Wildlife Refuge. Consult SD Game Fish and Parks for seasons and licensing requirements.
Sturgis Rally The Sturgis Motorcycle Rally is a motorcycle rally held annually in Sturgis, South Dakota each first full week of August. It was founded on August 14, 1938 by the Jackpine Gypsies Motorcycle Club who still own and operate the tracks, hillclimb, and field areas that the rally is concentrated around. The first rally lasted two days and was focused on racing and stunts. The 2015 Rally promises to be the grand-daddy of them all, with over a million people expected to attend this, the 75th Anniversary addition. If you are looking to stay in Sturgis proper, we are not the place for you; our properties are located just south of Wind Cave National Park and Custer State Park ( 0ne hour+ from Sturgis).
